The Christmas holiday season has always been my favorite time of year. The festive decorations, colorful lights, time with family and friends, kindness of strangers, richness of the holiday food, gifts given (and accepted), music playing with the jingle of bells in the background, and of course, pastor's annual special sermon that reminds us why this season is truly special.
I find myself trying to take my old memories of Christmases past and turn them into new traditions for my family, today. It was the collection of my Christmas memories and the inspiration from my family's current Christmas adventures that brought me to write this story. In writing A Hip Hop Christmas, I was able to share my love of family, Faith, tradition, and hip hop with you and your little readers.
